What we build

What our Shopware developers build

Plugin & app development

Custom plugins and apps for features no Store plugin covers. Update-safe and documented.

Storefront & theme

Themes and storefront changes that fit your brand and load fast.

ERP, PIM & CRM integrations

Connections to SAP, Xentral, Pimcore, Akeneo or Salesforce, so nobody maintains data by hand.

Migration

From Magento or Shopware 5 to Shopware 6, including data, SEO URLs and redirects.

Performance & hosting

Load times, Core Web Vitals and hosting that scales, up to Kubernetes.

Maintenance & updates

Shopware updates, security patches and ongoing development with a fixed point of contact.

The decision

Store plugin or custom development?

For many requirements the Shopware Store already has a plugin, and then we recommend it. Custom development pays off when the plugin only covers half of your process.

Start

Store plugin: Install today, low cost.

Custom development: Built to your requirements, higher initial investment.

Fit

Store plugin: Covers the standard case; your process adapts.

Custom development: Models exactly your process.

Updates

Store plugin: Depends on the plugin vendor.

Custom development: You decide when and how it is updated.

Interplay

Store plugin: Several plugins can get in each other's way.

Custom development: One coordinated solution instead of many parts.

Ownership

Store plugin: A licence, often a subscription.

Custom development: Code and IP belong to you.

Built to last

Custom code that survives updates

Shopware standards

Developed to the official Shopware coding standards.

No core changes

Changes live in plugins or apps, never in the Shopware core.

Automated tests

CI/CD with tests that run before every update.

Documentation

Architecture and deployments are documented, so another team can take over.

UX design, sprint planning and backlog. Your team reviews and approves every decision.

03 14-day sprints

Build & deliver

Working features every 2 weeks. CI/CD, automated testing and a demo at the end of each sprint.

04 Ongoing

Operate & grow

Updates, performance tuning and further development with SLA-backed support.

Cost

What does Shopware development cost?

There is no honest flat price for a Shopware project. These five factors decide the budget, and the Discovery phase pins them down before development starts.

Scope of customisation

Store plugins plus configuration, or features built from scratch.

Interfaces

How many systems connect, and how complex their data is.

B2B logic

Customer groups, individual prices, quotes and approval flows.

Data migration

Products, customers and orders from the old system, plus SEO URLs.

Team model

A scoped project, or a dedicated team that keeps developing.

No surprise bills. No hidden fees. Ever.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does Shopware development cost?
It depends mainly on the scope of customisation, the number and complexity of interfaces to ERP, PIM or CRM, B2B logic such as customer groups and approval flows, data migration and the team model. That is why we start with a Discovery phase: afterwards you know the scope, architecture and budget range before development starts. No surprise bills. No hidden fees. Ever.
How fast does a plugin or a new store go live?
A single plugin is often ready after a few sprints; a new store or a migration takes correspondingly longer. We fix the timeline after the Discovery phase and work in 14-day sprints, so you see working software every two weeks.
Plugin or app?
Plugins run inside your Shopware installation and suit deep changes to logic and data model, but need self-hosting or PaaS. Apps talk to Shopware through webhooks and the Admin API, also work with Shopware in the cloud, and can be updated independently of the store. Which one fits depends on your hosting and the size of the change.
Can you take over another agency's code?
Yes. We start with a code and architecture audit: which plugins can be updated, where the core was changed, which dependencies exist. Afterwards you know what stays, what needs rework and in which order.
Are customisations update-safe?
We develop to the Shopware coding standards, never change the Shopware core and keep customisations inside plugins or apps. Automated tests in the CI/CD pipeline show before every update whether everything still works.
Who owns the code?
You do. All code, IP and assets created during the engagement are fully transferred to you at project completion. We sign an IP assignment agreement as part of the contract.
Is moving off Shopware 5 still worth it?
Yes. Shopware 5 is no longer developed by the vendor and no longer receives security updates. For GVB-geliMED we did not migrate the store one-to-one but rebuilt it on Shopware 6, with a new concept and new features.
Do you build B2B features?
Yes. For HOBA we built a B2B product configurator for Shopware. Typical B2B requirements are customer groups and individual prices, quote and approval flows, quick order and the connection to your ERP.
