An inherited Shopware shop, fully audited and now shipping in two-week iterations
We took over a Hamburg dancewear retailer's Shopware 6 shop from a previous agency, audited its code and security, and moved it onto fixed two-week delivery iterations.
The Challenge
Dance Affairs, a Hamburg dancewear retailer, inherited its Shopware 6 shop from a previous agency, with open security and code-quality gaps. Before adding revenue-relevant features, it needed a dependable partner to stabilize the shop.
The Approach
We ran a structured takeover: technical onboarding, a full codebase audit, and a three-layer security audit covering dependency vulnerabilities, server configuration and access controls. From there we delivered improvements in fixed two-week iterations. We replaced the inherited Doofinder search with Shopware-native search. The Shopware 6.7 upgrade is under way and unlocks a Pickware feature that shows live in-stock status on product pages.
The Results
The shop is stabilized and runs on a predictable two-week delivery cadence, with the codebase audit and the three-layer security audit complete. The Shopware 6.7 upgrade is under way. Dance Affairs can now plan shop improvements in two-week steps, and the upgrade will let it show live in-stock status on product pages.
