We built STORE ROOM's self-storage platform: an OroCommerce rental shop linked to ERP, a management application that automates access and maintenance, and iOS and Android apps on one API.
The Challenge
STORE ROOM wanted to digitize and automate its self-storage operations, which still relied on manual work for storage access, maintenance and customer interactions. Customers needed a way to rent and manage storage units online. Inventory, rentals and maintenance all had to come together in one system.
The Approach
We built a management application that organizes the full inventory and automates storage access, maintenance and customer interactions. We built the online rental experience on OroCommerce and integrated it with the ERP system, so customers rent and manage units digitally. A full API forms the backbone and connects Android and iOS apps, built with Ionic and Angular, to the web management system. The platform runs on PHP and Symfony on Kubernetes.
The Results
Automating inventory management and storage access reduced manual work and bottlenecks in daily operations. Customers book and manage their storage units online through the ERP-integrated shop. STORE ROOM now has a clear view of its inventory and can run access, maintenance and rentals from one platform.
