Streamlining Order Processing and Fulfillment Across Multiple Shopify Stores

Our contribution

easy.bi collaborated with Delma to create a middleware solution that automates order processing across their Shopify stores. Each order is regularly synced to a custom-built fulfillment system we designed, enabling efficient and effective order processing. The middleware gathers orders and generates PDF invoices through smallinvoice, ensuring precise documentation for every transaction.

We also established a credit verification system by cross-referencing each client with the Swiss national CRIF database, giving Delma the confidence needed for every order. Once an order is settled, the middleware produces a shipping barcode, simplifying the shipping workflow.

Furthermore, we created a dashboard for Delma's staff, enabling them to monitor the status of all orders in real time. This dashboard offers insight into each phase of the order process, assisting employees in managing operations more effectively.

For one of Delma's stores, we enhanced our synchronization pipeline by integrating an ORO backend with a React frontend. This customization allowed orders for CoroCards to be sent to the CoroCard system, which then emailed clients who purchased products. Clients could upload their COVID certificates, which were decrypted and sent back to Delma to create tailored products.

The project utilized various technologies to ensure seamless integration and functionality, focusing on delivering a robust solution for Delma's needs.

The journey to success

The success of the Delma project was built on a foundation of close collaboration, innovation, and a shared goal of streamlining order processing and fulfillment. From the outset, we worked closely with Delma's stakeholders, including product managers, IT leads, and fulfillment teams, to understand their specific needs and challenges.

Through discovery sessions and workshops, we identified key areas that needed improvement, such as automating invoice generation, integrating credit checks, and ensuring a smooth shipping process. Our focus was on delivering a solution that not only met Delma's current needs but also provided a foundation for future growth and efficiency.

By leveraging modern technologies like Symfony, React, and Shopify, we were able to create a middleware that is both powerful and user-friendly. Continuous feedback and iterative development allowed us to refine the solution, ensuring that it met Delma's high standards of quality and performance.
