Basalt-Actien-Gesellschaft (BAG) is one of Germany's leading producers of building materials, looking to optimize their digital infrastructure for their cockpit and highway systems. easy.bi partnered with BAG to conduct a comprehensive technical evaluation of their existing Pimcore solution. The goal was to determine whether the Pimcore platform was suitable as a foundation for further development, focusing on aspects such as scalability, maintainability, compliance, and version compatibility.
Our contribution
easy.bi conducted a detailed analysis of BAG's Pimcore solution, focusing on evaluating its internal quality and selected components. We assessed the suitability of the software as a base for future development, examining aspects such as scalability, maintainability, compliance with standards, and version compatibility.
We used tools like PHPMD and PhpMetrics to evaluate code quality and identify potential areas for improvement. Our technical evaluation provided BAG with a clear understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of their current Pimcore setup, helping them make informed decisions about how to proceed with further development of their cockpit and highway systems.
The technology stack included Pimcore, Symfony, MySQL for data storage, and tools like PHPMD and PhpMetrics for software quality analysis.
