StormeUp, a custom virtual classroom application, was developed by easy.bi to bring StormeUp’s vision of a seamless and scalable online education platform to life. The goal was to create a robust solution that could support large number of users, ensuring that education could continue seamlessly despite the challenges of remote learning.
Our contribution
easy.bi started the StormeUp project from scratch, developing a virtual classroom application designed to meet the needs of both teachers and students. The ultimate goal was to create a platform where the online experience not only replicated the "being in classroom" experience but surpassed it, offering an even better and more engaging environment for education.
The virtual classroom application was designed to provide a seamless and efficient experience for both teachers and students, making it easy to find, participate in, and manage courses. The result was a reliable and scalable platform that empowers StormeUp to deliver high-quality online education.
We implemented a web conferencing system and load balancing to ensure real-time interaction and high performance for large numbers of users. The technology stack included PHP and Symfony for backend development, ebiPlatform for integration, and front-end technologies such as Ionic, Angular, and Vue. We also implemented OAuth2-ID-Service for secure authentication and ElasticSearch for advanced search capabilities.
The journey to success
The success of StormeUp’s platform was built on a foundation of collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision for transforming online education. From the outset, we worked closely with StormeUp’s team to understand their needs and challenges.
Through discovery sessions and workshops, we identified key areas where technology could enhance the learning experience, such as providing a reliable virtual classroom environment, supporting high numbers of concurrent users, and ensuring that the platform was intuitive and easy to navigate. Our focus was on delivering a flexible and scalable solution that could adapt to the evolving needs of online education.
