Kale & Me operates a successful web shop on Shopware, offering healthy snacks and drinks. However, they faced challenges due to their entire shop running on a single virtual machine with the database included, which made maintenance difficult and limited the shop's performance. easy.bi partnered with Kale & Me to modernize their infrastructure, improve scalability, and optimize their development processes.

Our contribution
easy.bi collaborated with Kale & Me to address the limitations of their previous infrastructure by migrating their web shop from a single-server setup to a scalable Kubernetes environment on DigitalOcean. This transformation allowed us to split the database and file storage, significantly enhancing the shop's scalability and performance.
In addition to modernizing the infrastructure, we also optimized their development workflow by introducing CI/CD pipelines, implementing effective branching strategies, and creating dedicated QA/testing environments. We added a staging environment where releases could be thoroughly tested before going live, ensuring a smoother and more reliable deployment process.
Technologies used include Kubernetes for scalable container orchestration, DigitalOcean for cloud hosting, and modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD for continuous integration and deployment. Our approach ensured that Kale & Me could maintain a stable and scalable web shop while improving their ability to release updates quickly and efficiently.
