Etherforce, a German IT infrastructure provider specializing in large-scale music event support, partnered with easy.bi to upgrade their CrewAdmin tool. Known for managing hardware deployment and internet setup at major music festivals attended by tens of thousands, Etherforce relies on CrewAdmin to streamline the organization of temporary event staff. This platform enables users to apply for event jobs while allowing event managers to efficiently coordinate and manage short-term employees. Our collaboration focused on optimizing the user experience, improving the interface, and making CrewAdmin mobile-friendly for seamless on-the-go access.
Our contribution
CrewAdmin is a comprehensive tool that allows event managers to handle the complete lifecycle of temporary workforce management - from application and shift planning to time tracking and payroll processing. Our work with Etherforce centered around transforming CrewAdmin’s usability, optimizing the look and feel of the platform, and ensuring it was ready for mobile users.
Through our engagement, we aimed to address the following pain points:
Optimizing User Interface: CrewAdmin’s initial focus was primarily on feature development and bug fixes, resulting in a functional but visually outdated tool. We aimed to enhance the design to create a more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interface, improving the overall look and feel for users.
Improving User Flow: The previous version of CrewAdmin had not focused on optimizing user flow. We analyzed the existing pages to identify overcrowded elements, streamline the layout, and make the tool more intuitive. Our goal was to create a seamless experience by removing unnecessary elements and improving the placement of features, making it easier for both event managers and workers to navigate the platform.
Mobile Optimization: As most users are event participants who need to access the tool on the go, we prioritized optimizing CrewAdmin for mobile devices.
